The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) imposes some specific requirements on the origin of materials and goods used in projects receiving stimulus money. Section 1605, referred to as the Buy American provision, specifically states that funds from ARRA must only be used where "all iron, steel and manufactured goods used...are produced in the U.S. or in specific foreign countries signatory to the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and World Trade Organization (WTO)."
ARRA Programs
Suttle is proud to say that more than 70% of our products qualify as “Made in America” for ARRA projects. To make it easy to find these products, we’ve added the ARRA logo (example link) to those products that qualify under this designation on our website.
NTIA Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP)
All of Suttle’s products used for broadband infrastructure qualify for funding by rights of a limited waiver for BTOP. For more information on this program please see the helpful links at the bottom of the page.
RUS Broadband Initiative Program (BIP)
Categories of product defined by the RUS are beyond the scope of Suttle product’s typical use. A RUS borrower however can purchase any Suttle product as “miscellaneous equipment” without approval from the RUS. However, if an RUS borrower wishes to use RUS funding to purchase Suttle products they may do so with Agency approval on a case by case basis. For more information on this program please see the helpful links at the bottom of the page.
